Processing FeeA one-time fee imposed to answer for the cost of processing the loan application. The loan processing fee shall be Php 2,000 and shall be deducted from the loan proceeds. This only applies to new accounts.
Documentary Stamp Tax (DST)Php 1.50 for every Php 200.00, or fractional part thereof, of the loan amount, will be deducted from loan proceeds prior to release. For loans with a term of less than 1 year, the DST is proportional with the ratio of its term to 365 days. For loans not exceeding Php 250,000, no DST shall be collected if the same will be used for the purchase on installment of a house, lot, motor vehicle, appliance or furniture for personal or family use of the Borrower. This only applies to new accounts.
Contractual Interest Rate and Effective Interest Rate (EIR)The interest rates specified in Sections 6 and 7 of the Promissory Note (PN). Per BSP Circular No. 730, EIR is the rate that exactly discounts estimated future cash flows though the life of the loan to the net amount of the loan proceeds. It is the rate that best measures the true cost of credit.
Late Payment Fee (LPF)In the event any installment to or advance made by the Bank is not paid when due or when the PN is deemed in default, the Borrower is liable to pay the Bank an LPF equivalent to Php 500 per month or 8% per month of the past due amount, whichever is higher, with a fraction of a month to be considered as one (1) whole month, until such time the unpaid installment, the advances made by the Bank, or the whole sum remaining unpaid, as applicable, is paid in full.
Processing Fee for Early Pay-off of LoanIn case of prepayment or loan is prepaid before maturity, a processing fee equivalent to Php 500 or 8% of the outstanding principal balance, whichever is higher, will be charged to the Borrower.
Returned Check FeeIf any check presented is returned for any reason, such as but not limited to being drawn against insufficient funds or against uncleared deposits, a returned check fee of Php 1,000 per returned check will be charged to the Borrower.
Check Retrieval and Replacement FeeRetrieval and replacement of post-dated checks initially issued by the Borrower to the Bank upon claiming by the Borrower of his/her loan proceeds shall be charged a fee of Php 200.

The above Fees and Charges are applicable only to personal loans availed from EastWest Bank. For loans availed from Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), fees and charges that are indicated in the General Loan Provisions and Tariff Booklet issued by SCB will still prevail.
